Report of the Skeena Independent Science Review Panel
This report presents the findings of a panel of independent fisheries scientists who reviewed current scientific knowledge of the status and management of salmon and steelhead in the Skeena River watershed. The Panel’s review was jointly sanctioned by Fisheries & Oceans Canada and the British Columbia Ministry of the Environment, but the Panel carried out its work with complete independence from both of those agencies. The report provides an assessment of current management practises and presents recommendations for moving towards implementation of the Wild Salmon Policy.
