Angling Guide Data Entry and Summary for the 2002/03 and 2003/04 license years
Angling guides throughout BC, including those guiding in the Skeena River watershed, submit annual reports on their guiding activities to BC’s Ministry of Environment. This project provided entry of the information from those reports into a database so that they could be analyzed to allow direct feedback to the guides who report catch and effort. The database was updated by SKR Consultants with angling guide data for trout, char, salmon, and steelhead harvested in the Skeena recreational fishery between the 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 licence years. SKR also produced a report that summarizes the data, describing trends and variation in guided angler effort, catch, and the status of angling guide activities in the Skeena Watershed. Completion of this project brought the Angling Guide Management System database up-to-date to the end of the 2007-8 license year.
