Tyee Test Fishery Extension, 2010
The Skeena River test fishery catch records are used each season to determine escapement levels, stock composition, and run timing of Skeena salmon and steelhead. In 2010, test fishery operations were extended for 30 days additional to the usual operation period in order to collect information on late-running steelhead, as recommended by the Skeena Independent Science Review Panel.
