Secretariat

The Secretariat acted as the main “point of contact”, and handled much of the administration and coordination for the SWI. Secretariat activities included:

• coordinating activities, timelines, and information exchange between the Technical Advisory Group, Strategic Planning Committee, Regulators, Contractors and the Public
• establishing and managing agreements with contractors and funders on behalf of the SWI
• financial administration of SWI funding
• coordination, planning and execution of initiative-wide activities including annual reporting, public education, and dissemination of SWI-related information to the broader public

The Pacific Salmon Foundation served as the Secretariat starting in 2009.

Facilitator

The SWI was facilitated by Ben Hoffman, who was responsible for coordinating, planning and chairing public meetings and meetings of the Strategic Planning Committee.
